Inheriting a legacy of dental excellence from his father, Dr. Brett Friedman has been sculpting beautiful smiles since 1996. Following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Harry Friedman, who successfully managed the practice for 45 years, Dr. Brett proudly continues the tradition of quality care deeply rooted in Woodholme Smile Care’s history.
Dr. Brett graduated from Tulane University in 1992 with a B.A. and departmental honors in English Literature. He further pursued his passion for dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1996 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. For over two decades, he’s been devotedly crafting the smiles of his patients’ dreams. He firmly believes that no barriers should impede you from a healthier smile.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Brett shares a fulfilling life with his wife Jacki and their two sons, Zach and Anders. He enjoys skiing, playing squash, and showcasing his musical talents as a drummer in a few jam bands.
Carrying on his father’s torch, Dr. Brett Friedman is dedicated to maintaining the same standards of personal and professional excellence that have defined this family practice over its long-standing history. Dr. Ariel Samuels received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He was selected to stay another year as a resident, training in Advanced General Dentistry. Prior to dental school, he received his B.A. from Queens College graduating with honors in Economics.
Dr. Samuels is energetic and caring. He enjoys helping his patients achieve their goals of a healthy and beautiful smile. Dr. Ariel and his wife Rebecca have 3 adorable children with whom he spends most of his free time. He also enjoys the gym and golf.
Dr. Victoria Janus could not be more excited about returning to her home state of Maryland to begin working with the Woodholme Smile Care team! A Maryland native, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2016. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2022. During her gap year between undergraduate studies and dental school, you may have seen Dr. Janus cheering on the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions, the Washington Capitals, as a cheerleader!
After graduating dental school, Dr. Janus went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. During this time, she gained experience treating patients with complex medical histories and managing dental trauma. She also had the opportunity to spend several months working with the Oral Surgery team at the Hines VA hospital, where she received training in complex procedures such as implant placement.
Outside of clinic, you may find Dr. Janus at the beach, hiking, spending time with family and friends, or taking a class at Corepower Yoga. She is excited to provide high-quality care and give her patients a renewed confidence in their smile.
